Q&As

Question: Our team members have worked in the past with BCMB and ABCRC in different advisory capacities. We currently do not have any on-going engagements with either organization. Is there a certain cooling-off period for proponents before they can engage with BCMB on this engagement?

Answer: No, however, previous engagements and scope of engagement should be identified.

Question: In the engagement scope it is mentioned that the proponent needs to showcase a strong expertise in supply chain and logistics management. Are there any particular areas within supply chain and logistics that BCMB is focusing on for this engagement such as Logistics Planning (e.g. depot collections),  technology & automation, supply chain strategy or demand and risk management planning.

Answer: All areas noted will be required with technology and automation at the lower end.  Please refer to the Service Agreement, included in the RFP, for all areas of scope.

Question: As part of the deliverables, the proponent will be required to attend and present at the BCMB Committee and/or Board meeting. Would you be able to provide the approximate number of meetings expected during the project? In addition, is there an expectation that the proponent also presents the final findings to stakeholders (such as ABCRC, ABDA and Depot Owners)?

Answer: At this time we cannot confirm the number of committee meetings however, it could be as many as 2-4 meetings with the Committee and possibly 1 meeting with the Board. Final findings will be required to be presented to the stakeholders noted.

Question: With respect to Phase 3, would it be possible to provide the expectations from the proponent and whether the scope and efforts for Phase 3 would be determined at the conclusion of Phase 2 of the engagement.

Answer: At this time we do not know more than what was identified in the RFP; the requirement of and resulting expectations of Phase 3 will be determined by the end of Phase 2. If the proponent feels capable of completing Phase 3 and it is required at that time, a new contract will developed for those services.
