The BCMB undertook a formal review of all BCMB by-laws and policies from 2016 to 2018 to identify and improve, where necessary, the following:
- Areas requiring alignment, simplification or clarification (including removal of repetitive or competing statements and definitions);
- Areas of regulatory compliance – to ensure these areas were consistently applied, fair and transparent;
- Areas that required updating according to current industry standards and areas that could drive improvement and innovation in the industry.
